A prime time flub was detected on NBC this week, when the life of a young CIA Agent was saved by a last minute call on his standard government issued iPhone in an episode of the 'Bionic Woman'. The iPhone made a brief cameo appearance as it was heard ringing moments before said agent was about to take a bullet to the brain. Victor, the international criminal in the scene intercepted the agent's iPhone call that began as normal. Normal for an incredibly tense "I"m going to blow your brains out" TV moment as seen in the episode "The List".

When the camera cut away the second time and returned to a close up on Victor, the iPhone was obviously turned upside down as pictured in the stills. A painfully difficult way to carry on a call no matter how criminally insane you might be.

Was NBC taking another swipe at Apple as they did last weekend with "The Affair", an iPhone commercial spoof featured on SNL? It's a stretch to believe that's the case here, since NBC made a point of covering the Apple logo the entire time the iPhone was in view. I believe that this is simply a masterful flub on the part of NBC. (similar to the flub by Sky News Correspondent, Ian Woods who was too dumb to notice the same problem during his own iPhone review).

Maybe the image of an iPhone being held to someone's head with a gun pointed at them is really a paid subliminal message by the Apple haters at Greenpeace. It's interesting that the iPhone scene in question took place in a hotel room in Paris. France is next on Apple's calendar with a November 29th iPhone launch scheduled. I hope that the CIA paid for the flat rate AT&T international data plan, otherwise they will be in for a big surprise when the bill arrives.
